Candidate for Ward Councillor, Thembisile Hani Ward 23
Vote Solly Makgolane
A vision for employment, development and opportunity
I am a proud resident of our community, a civil rights activist and a candidate for Ward Councillor. For years I have stood alongside residents, listened to their concerns and worked to advance the interests of ordinary citizens. I also hold an Honours Degree in Politics, which equips me to engage government structures and champion meaningful development for our people.
Election day: 4 November 2026
Employment first
The greatest challenge facing many families in Ward 23 is unemployment. My mission is to create pathways to economic opportunity by helping local entrepreneurs and small businesses access funding and support. As your Ward Councillor, I will actively engage:
- Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC)
- National Development Agency (NDA)
- Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency (MEGA)
By connecting local businesses, cooperatives, youth enterprises and community projects with funding, we can create sustainable jobs and grow our local economy.
Building the infrastructure our communities deserve
Development creates opportunity. Infrastructure creates jobs. I will advocate for projects that improve lives while supporting local employment.
A school for Mzimkhulu
Every child deserves quality education close to home. A school in Mzimkhulu will improve educational opportunities and create employment during construction and beyond.
A library for Phumula
A library is an investment in knowledge, skills and opportunity. It will give young people learning resources, access to information and a space to prepare for a brighter future.
Together we can build a better Ward 23
I believe in a Ward 23 where young people have opportunities, businesses are supported, infrastructure is developed and residents are heard.
Let’s work together to create jobs, build communities and secure a better future for all.
Vote for employment.
Vote for development.
Vote for progress.
